'Nature Drawing' (wire - 250 x 166 x 10cms)

These works bear a resemblance to textile weaving inasmuch as Gudrun weaves and knots her wires into a whole, but in fact they are quite different. Instead of forming a tight whole or a cloth, the work draws attention to the empty space around and between the wires. The threads are in effect extruded lines and the works can be seen as spacial drawings in three dimensions.
